1cupchocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
1cupmini marshmallows
0.5cupchopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until combined and smooth.
Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts (if using) into the batter until evenly distributed.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing it out with a spatula.
Sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the batter in the pan, then pour the remaining batter on top, spreading it gently to cover the marshmallows.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Cut into squares while still warm, and enjoy the gooey goodness!
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce for extra indulgence.
