pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
4
cloves
garlic, minced
1
tablespoon
olive oil
2
cups
vegetable broth
1
cup
heavy cream
1
teaspoon

0.5
cup
grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped
1
zest
of lemon (optional, for brightness)
Instructions
In a large pot or deep skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to let it brown.
Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
Add the pasta to the pot, and stir to ensure it's fully submerged in the liquid.
Cover and cook according to package instructions, usually about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once the pasta is al dente, reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning.
Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese while stirring, allowing it to melt and create a creamy sauce.
Season with salt, pepper, and lemon zest to taste, stirring until everything is well combined and creamy.
Remove from heat and let sit for a couple of minutes to thicken slightly.
Notes
Serve garnished with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan.
